Elizabeth House, a European-style Boutique, Now Has a Retail Presence in Chicago
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) September 18, 2006 –
Elizabeth House, a European-style boutique in Maplewood, Missouri (a suburb of St. Louis), now has a retail location in Chicago. The new space opened mid-August 2006 at Vintage Pine, a high-end antique gallery frequented by celebrities and interior designers.
The Chicago showroom focuses primarily on European antiques and showcases custom bedding and upholstery designed by owner and designer Elizabeth Maxson. The showroom features the creamy color palette and elegant but livable style—Elizabeth House style—that has become Maxson’s signature.
“This is a significant step for me and I am really excited’” says Maxson. “Part of my long-term plan for Elizabeth House is to expand into the national marketplace and this is a strong move in that direction.”
Maxson will be introducing a new private-label line of aromatherapy products, including diffusers, sachets, candles and oatmeal & honey soaps, accent pillows custom-designed by Maxson and handmade photo albums from Secret Leaves Paperworks, available exclusively in the new Chicago space.
Opened in 2002 and located in Maplewood, Missouri, Elizabeth House is a European-style boutique offering furnishings, accessories and gifts that nurture body and spirit. Handmade French soaps, sticky-bun candles and other unusual offerings nestle among European antiques, chandeliers and vintage linens in the intimate space. Owner and interior designer Elizabeth Maxson lived in Europe for several years. She returns frequently on buying trips, keeping Elizabeth House stocked with the uncommon pieces that visitors have come to expect. For more information, visit http://www.elizabethhouse.us.
